Goliad was a Grade A racer at OPKC and was off to a great start in his racing career when he sprained the tarsal region of his rt rear leg during a training session. He didn't rehab very well and was mentally shaken by the ordeal, which eventually led to his retirement. Goalie was given to a vet tech who worked with him on his therapy. She soon realized this young greyhound was a bit more than she could handle at which time she contacted us. We had every intention of placing Goliad in a forever home but I think he had already decided his forever home was going to be with us. He has never disobeyed one single command and is the most perfect companion ever. He loves to hang with his greyhound friends but would rather keep close to his human companions. Goalie still has his days on the track from time to time in amatuer events, but we've never allowed him to go as far as he probably could have due to his previous injury.

What an awesome Boy!
