Nix is a very shy guy who came to us after several failed adoptions thru Helping Hands Rescue. He was returned to his breeder which happens to be a friend of ours. For anyone who questions the ethics of greyhound breeders let it be known the folks at Roban Kennels are commited to letting no dog fall through the cracks. Nix is a perfect example as he was the worst case scenario. They asked if we would accept him into our pack and allow him to continue racing in amatuer events as this was the only place he felt normal. We invited him in and it wasn't for several years that he really began to blossom as a pet. He is now our most affectionate companion and loves to drive the action with the other greys. Altough he is the slowest on the track, there is nothing he loves more than heading to the box for a little racing. In fact at our last event he slipped his lead and ran up and lay next to the box as if to say " I'll just wait here till the races start if you don't mind"
